For the maintenance technician entering data into SAP can be time consuming. The input fields where data has to be entered are a lot of times located on different screens. What’s even worse, there is often no computer in the field available for entering the data. By using ES-Measurement the maintenance technician gets the possibility to enter data using a mobile device directly at the object into SAP. You can use barcode readers for entering measurement and counter readings. The access to the network can be achieved via all common connection-standards (WLAN, GPRS, UMTS, etc.).

The ES-Measurement has a clearly arranged start-menu, the Dynpros for entering data regarding measuring point, equipment or also the functional location. The measurement to a rental unit can be set up. The menu can be customized. You start the standard SAP logon on your mobile device and log on to your SAP system. By wireless technology the mobile device is connected to the network. The ES-Measurement is started.

The following functions are included in ES-Measurement:

  • Dynamic menu
    • Depending on the selection the pushbuttons are changed
  • Entering data for the measuring point
    • Entering the number of the measuring point
    • Display of the last entered measuring data
    • Entering measuring data
    • Alternatively entering the difference of a counter reading
  • Entering measuring data for an equipment/functional location
    • Entering the number of the equipment/functional location
    • Entering the measuring points manually
    • Select the assigned measuring points to object
    • Entering the measuring data
  • Due to the input of measuring data directly in SAP, there is an immediate response of the maintenance team possible.
  • Support of all mobile devices operating with Windows CE or Windows Mobile, i. e. support of all common scanners and RFID readers of the leading manufacturers
  • No additional tools/software/add-ons like SAP Console, Telnet or WEB Server is required.
  • Besides GuiXT Mobile no further software licenses are necessary.
